C-Note: From What I Have Heard She Is A Pretty Generic Rapper. She Can Rap But What Is She Saying? As A Female Rapper You Got To Be Unique & Really Stand Out And She Just Doesn’t, You Know? I’d Prefer Azalea Banks On This List Over Her. She’s More Of A Star & Lyricist But Who Knows Maybe From Here She’ll Step It Up.

Louie: Her Fan Base Kept Building And Really Spoke For Her. Even Though Her Lyrical Quality May Have Went Down A Bit From When I Last Heard Her , She Kept Her Flow And Fans Came From Left And Right To The Femcee. Nice To See Her Come Up.

C-Note: He’s Wack And The Weakest Link. He Was On Meek’s Track And That’s All I Remember From Him.

Louie: Didnt This Guy Have Like .. One Single? Seriously Though Thats All I Know About This Guy And It Really Makes Me Question XXL Because He Doesn’t Seem Like He’ll Be Impacting Much. Maybe He’ll Drop Another Club Banger? But How Much Is That Really Worth? Maybe I’m Just Missing Something And He’ll Prove Me Wrong By Being A Huge Name Five Years From Now. Who Knows?

C-Note: He Can Rap … I Guess. Doesn’t Impress Me. I Missed Where He Was Like This Dope Rapper Who’s The Future Of The Rap Game .. Lol

Louie: Again , ” I Must Have Missed Something “. A Couple Of Months Ago.. Let’s Say October , I Was Looking For Someone New To Post On The Note. So I’m Hearing That Dizzy Wright Is Pretty Good. He Has Something Out On HNHH , I Listen , And Nothing Jumped Out At Me. Heard A Couple More Songs , Nothing. Don’t Even Remember The Names. Just Chalked It Up As A Failed Attempt And Was Disappointed. But I Shouldn’t Have To Try More Than Once To Like An Artist. It Should Just Click. What Can I Say Though? People Like Him. He Was The Poll Winner.

Louie: Always Need A White Guy On The List, Right?

C-Note: Yeah Basically.. He’s Nice though. His Tape Was Pretty Good. No Star Power In Him To Be Real Though.Seems Like Another Underground Rapper. He Has Bars And A Good Flow. I Don’t Know If He’s Freshman Cover Material.

C-Note: Bronson Is My Favorite On This List. Amazing MC. I’ve Been Listening To Him Heavy. I Have All His Projects And He Impresses Me A Lot. Do I See Him Being A Huge Star? Nah. But I Do See Him Dropping Great Projects And Having A Solid Fan Base.

Louie: Honestly, I Think He Has Reached His Highest Point Regarding Fame. Cee Put Me On To Him And I Think He Dropped One Of The Best Projects Of Last Year In Rare Chandeliers. Everytime I Hear Him I Feel Like He’s An “Over The Top” Rapper And I Wouldn’t Have Expected That From Him At First Glance. It Fits Him Though. He Should Be Around For A While.

Joey Bada$$

Louie: Has Some Ill Bars But Also Has A Lot Of Average Stuff. Not Quite Sure How He’s Going To Continue In His Career But He Has A Large Following With The Current Sound That He’s Pushing. Who Knows What Could Happen If He Tries To Branch Out. Kind Of Like What Happened With Kendrick Lamar OR When Wale Did That Song With Lady GaGa And Got A Bunch Of Rap For It. Even If He’s In A Box Though It Is A Nice Box To Be In.

C-Note: He’s A Great Lyricist And Has A Dope Vibe. Terrible Flow Though , It Bothers Me. He Has A Solid Fan Base And He’s Young. There’s A Lot Of Potential In Him And His Crew. I See Him Being Around For A While.

Ab-Soul

C-Note: Soul’s Dope Man. The Whole TDE Movement Is Incredible And It Means Something Great For Hip-Hop. I Haven’t Heard Too Much By Ab Dash But Everything I Have Heard Has Impressed Me. He Always Stands Out To Me Whether Its His Own Tracks Or Features.

Louie: I Agree. Most Of What I Have Heard From Him Has Been Great. I Especially Like It When Him And Jhene Aiko Work Together , Those Always Come Out Dope. I Don’t Bump Him Heavy But I Know If I See Him On A Feature It Won’t Ruin The Song By Any Means. He And TDE Will Be Front Runners For A Good Amount Of Time If They Keep Their Pace.

Louie: Whenever An Artist Blows Up Like That , Can’t Really Just Push Them To The Side Like A Nobody. With These Kind Of Artists , Its More Of The Question Of Whether Or Not They Can Build Consistency. Like When 2 Chainz Finally Blew Up , He Was Everywhere. Now Do I Think Trinidad Will Do The Same? Eh , Not Really. But I Can’t Say He Didn’t Make A Splash Quickly. 

C-Note: Yeah With Trinidad Its Either He Foes From Now Or Doesnt. Im Interested To See Where It Goes, I Actually Like Him Lol. He’s Entertaining Without A Doubt.

C-Note: Q’s Top Three On This List Without A Doubt. He’s A Great Rapper And Makes Great Music. Also Bodies Every Feature He’s On. He’s One Of The Next To Blow On TDE. This Year Was Kendrick, Q’s Next. Im Happy He’s About To Get Recognition He Truly Deserves.

Louie: Without A Doubt. Just Like Soul, If I See Him On A Feature I Know It Should Be A Good One. But Actually I Dont Think He’ll Blow Up Like Kendrick Did. It’d Be Great If He Did But I Think K Dot’s Hype Is On A Whole ‘Nother Level Right Now That The Others Of TDE Wont Reach. Not Saying That They Dont Deserve It , I Just Feel Like The Wont. Its About Time Q Hit The Cover Though And That Upcoming Album Should Be Good.

Louie: I Was Actually Going To Look More Into This Guy When Cruel Summer Dropped Because I Saw His Name Somewhere On It But Kept .. Not Doing It. Anyone With A Kanye Stamp Of Approval Is Fine By Me Though. We’ll See What Happens.

C-Note: I Mean .. The Hip-Hop Head In Me Would Be Like ” No He’s Terrible , He’s Garbage , Blah Blah Blah ” .. He’s Good For What He Is. He Makes Ignorant Music .. Love Sosa & I Don’t Like Are My Shit. Plus He Had A Pretty Good Year So He’s Cool. Good Choice.

Louie: I Mean.. Ignorant ? I Say We Could All Learn Something From Everything Depending On What Perspective We Look At It. He Did Have A Great Year Though , Any Year In Which You Can Get On An Album With Kanye Is A Pretty Good Year To Say The Least. The Hip-Hop Head In Me Is Also Screaming But.. I Guess People Love Sosa. He Needs To Stay Away From All These Cases And Controversies If He Wants To Continue Doing What He Does Though And That Might Be The Only Reason I’m Iffy On This Choice. In Case You Aren’t Aware Of What This Cover Is And Means, Every Year  ( Starting After Releasing The Initial Cover Titled Leaders Of The New School In 2007 ) XXL Magazine Compiles A List Of MC’s That They Feel Have Or Will Make A Big Impact In The Music Business. More So In The Hip-Hop Industry.
